Sour Taste

The watery mouth, as you fight
All your thoughts and tears, from your sight
Memories are slowly fading,
Day by day, the storm abating

I wonder how things might have been,
If you had just seen
The way I looked at you from a distance,
I think about the first day we kissed and
The memories that we have shared,
Both good and bad, I know we always cared
For one another,
It was like no other.

Times were hard, and things seemed dull,
But when together things were lull.
The calming of our surroundings
Were always astounding.
Hard to imagine someone could do just that,
Ease your mind and make things peaceful, but it was a fact.

Holding each other ever so tight,
From the beginning felt so right.
I wonder if we will ever meet again,
In another life, but if not when?

Losing you never gets easier,
Laying here, getting sleepier and sleepier.
Tomorrow is just another day,
For the memories to further fade away.
The tears rolling down my face,
Leaving my mouth with a sour taste.
