Still Shocking

Why is truth produced all around us revealed,
Horrifying to remain still shocking.
As if invented to stun the ones,
Out of comfort zones condoning denial.

Why is truth,
Never to have been...
A novelty to purchase then bought to decide,
Of having buyer's remorse.
Then regretting to pay,
For what has disappointed...
Those unfamiliar,
With a truth that stays they can not give away.
Nor pawn to continue on complaining.
About whatever they expected...
That did not meet to agree with preconceived,
Deluded beliefs.

So shocking and horrifying still,
The revealing of truth continues to be.
Although all around, up and down it is.
Disbelieved.
With a doing for many to blame reality,
As the cause and reason...
That a way of life to fiction it,
Has lost the support of the ones...
Refusing to defend and publicly endorse,
A way of life no longer to rely upon those...
Once willing to lie and deceive,
About just anything.
If the doing meant to mean,
They could remain and stay...
Selfish, self centered and pretentiously,
Living without truth or the facts of life!

'How dare you try to threaten us,
With what we know...
Has no benefits of it for us to exist.'

You know...
Still shocking is the truth,
For so many...
Losing their minds.
Attempting to avoid,
The reality of the times we live.

'Well...
We live normal lives to realize,
What affects others mentally...
Is not of our concern.
Especially,
When we have been blessed to live...
In an isolated, gated and guarded community.
Far away and distant from that kind of stuff.
With our children kept protected as well.'

I hope you are not treating your children,
As if they are your personal property?

'And...
If we do,
What is it to you?
Whenever we see them they seem to be fine.
Only to come to ask for a few dollars.
Like most normal children.
Seeking ways to live their lives,
Independently.

And they also know,
We don't condone...
The doing drugs of any kind.
Done to do in our presence.
That message they have known.
Now leave us alone.'

If you don't mind my asking.
How old are your children?

'Our eldest is close to 50 years old.
The middle one is 47.
And the youngest, our baby,
Just turned 43!
Why?'

You are right.
Who am I to try to tell you,
About truth and the reality of it.

'Exactly.
Now go and mind your own business!'
