Someone that I used to know

I owe you a rose for every breath you take
I owe you all the love
I'm sorry for all my mistakes
I was fake

You deserve the world
And all the diamonds and pearls
All the jewelry and the rings
Well that's what I thought

I owe myself a rose for every breath I take
I owe myself all the love
I apologize to myself for all your mistakes
You were fake!
But I can't only blame you

I let you fool me
Play with my emotions

But what if I played a you on you
What would you do?
Will you be able to handle it?
No you wouldn't
Just admit it

I'm so glad I found the good in goodbye
But you don't care that I left
You replied with a sigh... of relief
But why should I...
Care?
I can finally carry on to my next...
Goal in life

I owe myself a necklace that says I come before second place
I shouldn't put my worth to waste

But never forget that I'm still your best
But good luck though

I'm always going to be that girl you always remember
You will be hallucinating, thinking you saw me around the corner

See I never understood
Why you were the way you were
But I loved you and your flaws
You were this perfect being that nothing could compare to

The biggest mistake that I made
Was loving you when I didn't love myself
You were the first thing I thought about, cared about
You were on the top of my shelf

I remember the first day we met.
I still remember your outfit
You smiled at me and put butterflies in my intestines

You were perfect...
"He is so worth it" I thought to myself

Look at us now
We are strangers again
Was that all a game... To you?

I thought you did everything right
Thank God you blew it
Because you turned out to be the best thing that I no longer have.

I owe myself all the love
That's in the sky above
I owe myself all the happiness coming my way
Anyway, I'm worth that crown
I just have to smile not frown

Thank you.
