Clearly Blurred

Twilight
Full of hidden plights
A-wishing for somethin' bright
Pushin' all their might...

Starry
Pinned for attention
Across the sky flowery
Winned for relenting...

Empty
Starved for sympathy
Carved dimples, no qualities
Robbed duality...

Darkness,
Heart drops in starkness
Darts tossed out with awkwardness
Shooting pains in mess...

Blackened
Anger attacking
A depressing impression
Getting worst, slacking...

Brooding
Soft clouds un-soothing
Dwellin' deep seated feelings
Our faith, peeling…

About this poem

It’s a semi-haiku that parallels the night theme & depression/mental health. I wrote it back in my college days about 18-19 years ago.
