Do you love me?

All the memories
All the fears
Late night talks
And joyful tears

One is Venus
The goddess of love
The other is lost
Trying to come up

Distance of miles
Can't feel your touch
Those brown eyes
Have seen so much

Your optimism
It's meant to happen
My realism
I know it will never

The songs we sang
Of love and life
You weren't for me
I wasn't surprised

Rewrite the stars?
That is a fantasy
I love you so much
But we are not meant to be

You want some love
And I want the same
I'm just holding back
My jokes aren't lame

Every moment
We spent apart
Were you just a tenant
In my broken heart?

Life keeps moving
There is no way
I ask myself
What should I say?

Didn't have courage
To tell you the truth
Now you have a baby
They call me a prude

The nights I spent
Drinking from jars
He held your hand
While gazing the stars

I do love you
But I couldn't show
Do you love me?
Guess I'll never know

About this poem

I wrote this poem as a confession to my crush, who was my best friend at that time, I included all the things we used to do, and what I thought about our relationship. The great thing about it was that she was in love with me too, now we are in a healthy relationship for the past 2 months. This poem has a very special place in my heart.
