Emma

Love and sadness, and a fierce wound
Defeat that tears the soul,
But there's always hope in the end
And our love for our child Emma.

In our hearts her image holds on
And the sun never sets behind the clouds,
To protect her from pain and suffering
And give her the strength to keep going.

And although time can be hard and cruel,
Our love for her always endures,
And gives us the strength to keep going,
Even when our thoughts are foggy.

And though sadness and defeat sometimes overtake us,
Our love for our Emma always endures
And gives us the strength to keep going,
And hope for the best always sustains us.
