The lies you believe

You have everyone believing what you promote yourself to be.
Honest, loving, and loyal is what you want them to see.
You cleverly manipulate half truths and made up facts.
Behind closed doors feverishly plotting your next attack.
All it takes is a little kindness to keep them on your side.
And they unknowingly support your schemes to build up your pride.
But I’ve seen the real you, and the darkness in control.
Your heart is as empty as your black soul.
Why fool so many, what could you possibly achieve?
Then I realized, it not just for them, it’s the lies YOU believe.
