Two sides to every coin
Two sides of every coin
There are always two sides to every coin. There's one side, that spends their time waiting for the moments to arrive, only it's like the black void of being stuck, frozen, trying to finish, if only you can get started again.
Your thoughts are consumed with the endless possibilities of other things you must do. You can't contain just that one thought, the steps you must take for that moment that is arriving sooner than you think.
You must be ready when it arrives, but you’re trapped in your cluttered brain, it's like chasing a paper in the wind, that one thought, is just out of your of reach.
Then there's the other side of that same coin. When you’re completely ready, and impatiently waiting, pacing, trying to calm your anxiousness, you can barely contain yourself.
You become consumed with scrolling so much, that it becomes your escape. Each time you visit there, the seconds turn to minutes, then hours, then days, months, even years.
Only it's not real, because everyone there has a mask on, a fake smile, a picture-perfect life filled with filters, they too just want to pretend that they have everything under control.
Don't be fooled by the fake green grass, it was painted that way on purpose. It's an illusion to trick you into jumping over the fence.
Like a wolf in sheep's clothing waiting to devour you once you've separated from the herd. You’re so mesmerized by the charade that you don't even look back to see what you've dropped.
Is it too late to jump back over? No, it's not too late, if you can remember how you got there. Retrace your steps, follow the bread crumbs you dropped, and there you'll find what you've lost.
There are two sides to every coin, the same coin, just different. Like Yin and Yang, night and day. Perfect together in every way.
