I learned a long time ago
To keep things buried deep inside
Things that you just don't talk about
The little secrets we all keep
I learned to be silent
Was meant to be seen and not heard
I learned to turn my emotions off
When it got to painful to feel
I learned to put a happy face on and pretend everything was normal
I learned to become invisible
My feelings don't matter as long as someone else smiles
Life shatters but no one to pick up the pieces but me
No looking back only forward
If I scream will you hear
If I cry will you wipe my tears
Is this real or just a memory
