The Thought Of You

The Thought Of You.

Empty nights full of mourning-
I found my dreams were dreamt in daze-
And that lost had become of each evening,
As if I were in-
A maze,
And yet, awake,
I laid,
No rest, nor sleep,
Kept up-
The thought of you,
Explained.

About this poem

A man is kept up at night, with restless thoughts of his past lover. He dreams but only in his head by day dreaming. Lost, he goes around in circles, in his head, trapped with no escape, as if he were in a maze.
