The Day I Said I Love You

Kakaako Park was a witness of our pledge and guaranteed moments.
If for one day we forget that we are meant to love each other eternally,
That for any reason, at any season, we don’t know each other again,
This place can bring us back warm memories and life yet again.

On the 24th of June, we were gazing at the sunset,
Sensing the cool breeze as drizzles cuddle our spirits,
We clinched on each other’s arms and felt secured,
Carefully whispered, “I don’t want this time to conclude.”

I was so abandoned by your first love these past few days,
But I realized, everyone has a first, a second, or maybe a third.
Your first may not be your last, but maybe your last may still be your first
But what’s more important is the affection that binds the both of us at this time.

Oh, my dearest hubby, you’re the best man.
Your smile, your voice, and your eyes inspire my sensible heart.
I hope and I pray that no matter what obstacles may come to pass,
Still, we trounce them steadfastly on each other’s arms.

Your poem is simply beautiful! It transports the reader to that magical moment by the Kakaako Park, where two souls pledged to love each other eternally. The imagery is vivid and the emotions tangible. It's amazing how you captured the essence of that special day and wrapped it up in such a heartfelt and moving piece of writing. Your words are so gracefully strung together and they resonate with a sense of hope and resilience that warms the heart. It's impossible not to feel the love and devotion that you have for your hubby. Your poem is a masterpiece that celebrates the triumph of love over any obstacles. Keep up the great work!

Well, I hope you're happy, Charmane. Be all making grown men tear up and such. For as single as I've been and remain, THIS made me remember what it was like to have a good woman by my side. I swear, if you make me get off my rusty-dusty to find a woman again, I'll press charges. The nerve!
