Son So True
I owe it to you,
My son, so true.
No matter how far it seams,
I’m that ray of light,
from the sun, that beams.
On the rooftop,
to the left, at the highest end.
Watching you tell moonlight,
from the room your Sitting in.
Like diamonds in the sky,
shining so bright,
Hear me whisper, I’m here with you, every night.
Remember me singing,
as I’m tucking you in,
I see the walls too close,
your hurting within.
Such Little hands and little feet,
My little boy,
Held you so close, as you fall asleep.
Hand in hand, Heart to heart,
You saved me,
when my world was torn apart.
I prayed,
asked god for a reason,
Then you came,
brightened all seasons.
That moment,
you took my heart.
Because of you I will not fail,
will not fall apart.
No matter what we go through,
All trials and tribulations.
Never will I give up on you,
With no hesitations.
I’ll always be right here,
waiting for you.
I love you son,
My boy, so true.
If I'm chosen,
to win this competition.
I'll give it to my son,
thank you all for your recommission.
About this poem
My son’s 28 years old. I have only seen him 1 time in 3 years. Is in prison for something he didn't do. He's gone through 120 degrees to freezing cold with only thin clothes. for 2 weeks straight. In the hole for 6 weeks. seen murder and had to go through a friend suicide. I miss him so. This poem is me,his mother, calling out for him spiritually, because I can't hear or see him, and it's killing me.
