Trees
In the early years
We used to be revered by all living creatures
We provided food and fresh air for all things living
We provided places for shelter
In turn we received love
The creatures gives us natural food through their droppings
The sky gives us water to drink when it rains
The sun gives us its rays to moderate our water intake
We had the pleasure of growing old and dying naturally.
Then man came along with civilization which brought about our doom.
We are no longer treated as we used to
We get cut down to build houses, make furnitures, books....
We are fed chemicals
We are now exchanged for money
We are greatly reducing in number
We no longer grow old anymore
We ask, to be treated as we once were
We ask, for every one of us cut down, three (3) new ones must replace us
Our existence is vital to the survival of the ecosystem
Our existence is vital to the Human race
Our existence is vital to Us
We are living things too
We feel pain
Hear our voices carried by the wind saying
Treat us with love and care
For we are the TREES.

About this poem
The poem is about trees. I feel in some part of the world, they aren't really appreciated as they should be. So my poem kinda speaks for them.
