The Economy Is a Beast That We Must Tend

Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life,
Lies a force that can cause both joy and strife,
It's the economy that we all rely upon,
To provide us with wealth, jobs and a sense of dawn.

The stock market rises and falls like the tide,
And the GDP grows or shrinks at each divide,
Unemployment rates can skyrocket or plunge,
While inflation can soar or quietly lunge.

The rich get richer, the poor struggle to cope,
The middle class may falter, unable to elope,
Money flows like a river, but where does it go?
To those with power or those below?

The economy is a beast that we must tend,
With policies, laws and ideas to amend,
To balance growth with equality and care,
And ensure that everyone gets their fair share.

So let's work together, with a common aim,
To make the economy a better game,
Where prosperity is not just for the few,
But for all, no matter what they do.
