The Paradoxes of Sibling Love

Sibling's pain delayed,
Heartache, micro gain, toothache,
Years of love and strife.

About this poem

The poem is about the bittersweet and complex relationship between siblings. I’m from a large family. So, I try to describe the pain and heartache that can come from having a sibling can be delayed, but also how there are small victories and moments of joy in the relationship, like a "micro gain" or a fleeting "toothache". And that despite the challenges, there is a deep and lasting love that exists between siblings that can span years of both love and strife.
