Genius Level

Sean Atcheson 1977 (Toronto)

I never thought I’d be The Last One Standing/ Never thinking I was using you as Stepping Stone’s/ Never thought I could relate to Hailey’s Song/ So I’m here on my pad using Words As Weapons/ Spitting pure Venom/ Without Me you’d all be Criminals/ You only get one shot/ this is my shot so I gotta take it/ Killshot has you on the floor Patiently Waiting/ For the Caterpillar to grow wings and fly away/ As it flutters through the sky thinking I’m Not Afraid/ Kings Never Die but they’re Not Above The Law/ but using The Gospel has me feeling like a Rap God/ So Lucky You/ WalkThrough but you’re never Leaving Heaven/ Tho you may Never Love Again/ Even with Black Magic/ But when she bows I’m all Business thinking Smack That/Then it’s back to Gatman and Robin/ Nowhere near the Coffin/ Because You’re Never Over/ That’s why we’re Best Friends! Hater’s get No Love/ I took that hate and Dropped The World/ So Be Careful What You Wish For/ and Say What You Say/ We both know My Dads Gone Crazy/ That’s why I Need A Doctor/ When It’s Never Over/ because It’s Guts Over Fear/ As I’m Going Through Changes/ We All Die One Day/ But what would the world be/ Without Me/ I’m a Solider/ but you’re The Monster. As we docy doe and Square Dance/ I am Stronger Than I Ever Was/ Even tho I’m Almost Famous/ Stupid people Take From Me/ So I Gotta Get My Gun/ Because the Headlights/ show life’s/ Beautiful Pain/ Im not a Bad Guy/ or a Bad Husband/ or Bane/ you’ve just gotta Believe/ in me again/ I’m Heading Nowhere Fast/ because I’m In Your Head/ and I Arose like Superman/ Because I am The Way I am/ I’m not just any old Superman/ I am Cinderella Man/ who’s Space Bound/ Like Zeus/ Tone Deaf but I’ll never Lose/ Yourself.

About this poem

I am a huge Eminem fan and I thought I’d take some of the titles from his songs and create something that’s never been done before.
