Marooned

Srilakshmi Vennelakanti

Marooned amidst the raggled mess of her destroyed hopes

surrounded by the debris of her shattered trust

Mocked by her ideals and idols, who all proved one by one to be false

She stood there calmly looking on. Not because she was strong but because she did not know what to do

The jealous Gods thought she was unfazed and sought to punish her more. Little knowing she had lost the power to feel, her misery being beyond human consciousness
