Sanguine Souvenir



Sipping softly on a souvenir-
so long since our last visit here.
She suckles sweetly on the soft memory,
to savor the sanctuary of how
it used to be.
So long it has been since you loved me.

About this poem

Inspired by a few lost loves but mostly that of my Grandads love for my Grandma, this poem was written for him.
