To Dream Once More

We took a walk into the park;
A lot of talk 'till it was dark.

We laughed at much and gazed at stars
And tried to touch the planet Mars.

The child in us is gone for most.
Adults who fuss and are engrossed

In what they lost or never felt;
The growing cost that ageing delt.

It's not too late to dream again.
Don't hesitate and let youth in.

    Not a bad poem that dances around the thought of recovering the dream like mind of the child that now seems lost.
    Stanza two reads as the need to make a rhyme. To touch mars is out place here and only serves to make the rhyme. Two better verses could have been found.
