Father, I Need A Break (Extended Edition)
We only go round and round
Like a merry-go-round
In an amusement park
With chitter and chatter like unruly men
We quarrel and argue till we're dead
I'm fed up of going around in circles
I'm getting an upset stomach from this feeling
I want to distance myself to get on my feet
Oh, father, I need a break from thee
All I want is to spend some time with you
To bond and have lunch, maybe even see a movie or go shopping too
We did all those things long ago
Back when I mattered, and now I don’t
You have a new wife, plus two kids
Leave me and my mom to be
I don't medal in your business
But who told you that you can in mines
You judge me constantly and even make me feel like I’m a poor person who cannot succeed
You pushed me away, so far I’d say
If I choose to have a relationship with you
It shall not be with the mistress and the children too
I don't force you to converse with my mother
Whom you divorced a few moons prior
For weeks we don’t talk to each other
All my calls just went unanswered
Seems like you don’t really care
To hell with your firstborn
The child who is here
I am a man, no longer a child
Treat me with respect because I provide
I work long hours
Day and night
Not to be lectured by a fool who cannot survive
I gave you several chances months ago
You annoy the shit out of me
And only throw talk to belittle me
Things must change
I put my foot down
No more breaks
No more talk
Father, I need a break; indefinitely
I gave you too many chances and you just crushed me
Father, I now bury thee as you’re dead to me
