Angels Among Us

Angels live among us,
They’re with us every day,

They help give us direction,
When we have lost our way.

And when we cry, they see us,
They yearn to stop our tears,

And recall happy memories,
We made throughout the years.

Our angels sit beside us,
Though they don’t make a peep,

Their love, it still protects us,
Even during hours of sleep.

So please never feel lonely,
You’re loved one’s standing by,

Wanting you to smile,
And to never say goodbye.

For this life is a second,
This world will fade away,

But heaven is eternity,
So hold fast to your faith.

In heaven there’s no sorrow,
No pain can come to pass,

One day we’ll know its beauty, too,
True love, forever lasts.

So when your feeling broken,
And don’t know where to turn,

Reach out to your angel,
For your angel shall return.

About this poem

My son passed at 9 years of age. I miss him every day of my life. I’ve lost a fiancé, a grandma who raised me, my only caring uncle, who was all the loving family I ever had + friends & more. It’s horrible, but I do believe angels are among us, every day of our lives!
