Let there be light

As some things in her past filled her heart, the harder it became to get out of the dark. Trying so hard to numb the pain, thinking her life was all invain. O what a tangled web we weave, so full of hurt and misery. Her heart cries out I don't want to feel, it's like a covered wound that will never heal. But wait; is there hope on a hopeless night, all she knows is that it's hard to fight. But then he says " i love you" and I'll tell you again and again, just call my name and let me in! She bows her head and falls to her knees, she screams "Jesus come into my heart and save me please". Moment by moment she begins to break down, Jesus searched her heart and this he found; a list of unpleasant memories forbidden to be felt, a rock of anger that fire could not melt. Years of abuse and sleepless nights, then he said "let there be light"! As the weight she felt began to subside thank you Jesus is all she cried. Her body felt free from all sickness and pain, her mind was at ease like a warm summers rain. Her heart was being filled with nothing but love, no room for anger, no room for drugs. As she awakened to the morning dew she felt so free and this she knew; that her savior had come and held her tight, then she realized there was light.

This is a beautiful poem. I could relate to it years ago and still feel it deeply. Thank you for sharing. I wrote the poem you voted for around 37. Wow no coincidence.
That is when I began my own path to inner freedom.. You reached out to the Lord, as I did and he has never left my side. You are so brave and much stronger than you know and much wiser than you know. Please keep writing and sharing
Life is an amazing journey. The easier way to share the journey, I have found, is through poetry. Keep writing keep sharing. With the Lord at your side. Sometime leading you and sometimes carrying you, you will not Fail.
    God Bless
