Unrequited love

Phupheli fhatani ouma

Free verse
Alone in the middle of the night
Anxiety getting the best of me
Depression still raing

Yearning for love
But Cupid seems not to  recognize me
So I breathe a sigh of sadness

Cupid's arrows fly by me,
I stand alone, unfound and free,
Yet trapped and prisoned  by anxiety

I give a chance to love
But all I get is desire and  lust
Still hoping for admiration and adoration

Spreading love with the hopes of getting it
Instead, I get the  misuse
Still hoping for love, not lust

It's about the Unrequited love and emotional toll that a person may feel if their love is not given back yet with the hope of finding it.
