Praising Triumph
Sing unto the Lord a new song,
Praising Him unto the godly;
To the saints praising Him lifelong,
Proclaiming Him loud and boldly.
Let Israel gladly rejoice,
Her children joyous in their King;
Let them praise Him in dance and voice,
Playing a harp while they sing.
For the Lord is taking pleasure,
Adorns the meek with salvation;
Their humbleness is His treasure,
Conceived as His new creation.
Let His saints exult in glory,
Let them sing aloud from their bed;
Recite in song of the story,
How the Lord assures we are fed.
Let high praises come from their tongue,
With a two-edged sword in their hand;
The words of the song to be flung,
Adhered to what God does command.
Perform vengeance on the heathen,
Bind their nobles with iron chains;
They come from hell, not Heaven,
Because of destruction and the pains.
Execute with written justice,
For the honor of all the saints;
Because of their sinful practice,
Pursue without any restraints.
