The Presents of Earth for Bounded Scarlet Paulownias
Fragments of images softly illuminate,
Distant ashes from the past's embrace,
Yet threads of tender songs and gentle laughter,
Tie yesterday's memories to today's grace.
A gleaming star hidden deep in their eyes,
Its light dims, caught in a tightening vise,
Squeezing tighter, in an unyielding grip,
Suffocating, as emotions writhe.
The walls are sore, and so are weary eyes,
Joints and knees in confines, they reside,
Her laughter buried beneath the earth,
Eyes locked tight, in a corner, they hide.
What if it felt like soaring on high,
While strolling down the streets, under the sky,
With birds' sweet songs and trees' gentle sway,
Caressing cheeks as moments go by.
What if Liberty extended her hand,
Where steps know no bounds, in every land,
Where culture blooms, and creatures are cherished,
A home with a hearth, its warmth brandished.
All these what-ifs, they need diverse soil,
Where water drizzles, and nurtures toil,
Innovatively, vegetables on canvas grow,
Singing in tones only the heart can know.
The pumping hose, with a globe to cultivate,
A genuine, honest human root, our fate,
Diving and delving in soils far and wide,
So I dream of faces with joy, blooming with pride.
With streaks of sunlight, they pour and beam,
Down their cheeks, like a radiant stream,
Into the creeks of empathy's embrace,
Falling cascades of love, filling every space.
