Sun hills of the desert

The dunes of love fill the horizon
As the sun meets native eyes watching on
And the camels rise over the hills
The musicians greet them at the wells
with sweet arabic song and fires lit.
With thick meat turning on the spit
Their perfect faces laugh into the dry winds through their ancient paterned clothing pinned.
As the children play in the shade of the mountains catching scorpions between the heavy rock shelf
She saw him crouched and crying to himself
His look at her seeing brought out the babe in her heart
And she knew then
they would never be apart.
