Travels of loss

Darkness enters on a cold winter's night
Emptiness, loneliness, dread in sight
Life's crashes befall, to arrive at this moment
The long eve has became an opponent
Heartache, heartbreak, these feelings abound
Look no further, it's all around
Staring, vacant, reaching inside
Searching, thinking, the mind can't hide
Someday, somewhere, the journey, the ride
Will come to an end, it will subside
