Your Gentle Kiss

High School sweethearts they say,
Wedding bells ring, what a cliche.
My mind is plagued by your divinity,
I am in my own personal captivity.

Every hit feels like a kiss,
Every punch resembles pure bliss.
My own haven, oh, how I reminisce.

A plate was smashed,
The place was trashed.
But still I leave it far in the past.

Even when I feel you’re in the abyss,
I still recall that kiss.
You come back to remind me you’re here,
I secretly cheer.

I try and fight like a knight just might,
you look so pure and white,
a devil on my right,
Laughing in spite.

Leave me, I pray.
Just fly little bird just fly, fly away.
It’s a loosing game I play,
I deem it time to have it my way.

My only dose of heroin,
Oh, how I crave you…
Never go away, just stay.
God, I need a disciplinarian.

Stop it, stop it, stop it!
My only desire is to scream.
A new scar everyday.
As my blood seeps slowly, I say “yay”.

I now understand,
I have it all planned.
By Twelve noon I will take command.

Kick the chair and escape,
Sure, the rope is in shape.
Be brave, be strong, be sure.
I promise you’ll be grand.

I now hang,
My feet clang.
I sway my sorrows away,
I leave you in disarray.

Every bruise is visible,
You’re no longer formidable.
Enjoy your next wife,
Kiss her nice and rife.
