The Dance
In a dance of tangled threads, two couples sway,
Love’s melody entwined, yet distant they stay.
Unseen expectations linger in the air,
A silent discord, a weight they both bear.
They’re intertwined, yet drift apart,
Love’s puzzle missing a crucial part.
In moments sweet, their bond takes flight,
Yet shadows loom, obscuring the light.
Unspoken barriers, unseen divide,
A love so potent, yet struggles to confide.
In the echo of laughter and shared delight,
Lurks the question, what hinders their unite?
A paradoxical union, love’s complex maze,
Yet within the turmoil, affection stays.
They dance on the precipice of what could be,
Yearning for the harmony that sets them free.
The tethered hearts seek a common ground,
A bridge to traverse love’s tumultuous sound.
For in the paradox, a chance may unfold,
To break the chains and stories untold.
So let them navigate this intricate art,
For love’s resilience can mend any part.
In the symphony of discord, may they find,
A melody that unites hearts, entwined.
About this poem
I seem to only write when I’m going through something I can figure out unless it’s a song for a friend but this is personal because I just spend night pondering
