When death comes knocking

There is nowhere to run anymore

Death arrives at my doorstep

Waiting for me to open the door

She wants me like no lover has wanted me more

And I wish to fall into her arms

Swooning my last breath

The gun drawn to my bloody face

I want to crumble weakly into her calm embrace

And taken away from this awful place

To a sweet and everlasting place

Of beauty

Promise me the next life will be profound, my lover

And not so terribly miserable as this broken Earth
