Balance in Life

This pendulum of life,
Why does it move,
from left to right?

Why does one's heart,
feel full and then empty?

It hurts and then heals,
these emotions we feel.

Haves or have nots,
in the middle, there's a lot.

A goal for harmony
sought by so many.

With give and take,
we can soothe these aches.

Reciprocate,
with back and forth,
alleviate the bitter, for all that it's worth,

In the middle,
we silence the strife,
we solve this riddle,
with balance in life.
