The Voices
In the chambers of my mind, a cacophony resides
A chorus of conflicting voices, each one a despairing tide
Anxiety's whisper, Depression's scream, Pain's endless ache
Loneliness's lament, Self-hate's piercing shriek
They clamour for attention, a cacophony of woe
A never-ending battle, a war within my soul
Each voice a manifestation of my deepest fears
A chorus of despair, a symphony of tears
Their melodies entwine, a haunting refrain
A haunting reminder of the pain I sustain
A never-ending cycle, a loop of sorrow
A prison of my own mind, a tormentor
But in the midst of this chaos, a glimmer of hope
A ray of light that pierces through the gloom
A voice that whispers softly, a voice of peace
A voice that calms the storm, a voice that releases
This voice, a gentle breeze that soothes my soul
A voice that heals my wounds, a voice that makes me whole
It speaks of love and kindness, of strength and grace
A voice that guides me through the darkest place
And though the other voices still remain
Their power diminishes, their hold on me wanes
For I have found a new voice, a voice of light
A voice that sets me free, a voice that ignites
The flame of hope, a beacon in the night
A light that shines so bright, a light that guides me right
And in this light, I find my way
To a place of healing, to a brighter day
