Feelings

He only gets so mad because he cares
Really he don't mean to give me them evil glares
His words are his weapon
He only uses his fists to threaten
I need to try harder to meet his perfection
No one knows but me
How much I hate my own reflection
Hide the pain away and smile
No one will ever know
How much I'm dying inside
I wish I would have known
How much the pain inside would grow

As a survivor of abuse myself I know that my abuser was at fault and not myself. Yes it takes two to have a fight but violence has no place in a relationship. To overcome the anger/wrath the abuser needs to learn patience. I hope you are out from under the abuser. I understand your pain and love...

There are times I’m not sure I was the abuser or the abused…I had been on 20mg of Prozac for quite some time and my damned docto got at the time pulled me off of it…I freaked out…I had no idea of a narci at the time but I began to think that she was cheating and I got jealous…One thing led to another and I ended up with a felony domestic violence conviction…Time passed and we even tried to reconcile but it seems as if what some of the ladies who’ve known me for quite some time have said once a cheater always a cheater…So this time instead of doing anything stupid I threw my clothes in the car left everything behind and I’ve moved on…Although you will never hear me say that I am the victim…Oh well…Single for life is my new mantra…

Tus one reminds me of a pic I saw today of someone with a black eye on their way to TX…A narci may manipulate a victim to cross the line and do something stupid…Yet in most people’s eyes…The person with the black eye is the true victim and not the narci’s A1 supply…Though you will never hear me say that I am a victim…I even wish her and her next fly nothing but the best…

Abuse is a scary thing, physically and mentally. Idk who had the black eye but I would pray for them, may we all know real love one day. Words can kill just as much as fists. Just a different death I guess.

It has a good flow. The reader can feel the pain that was held inside for way too long.

Thank you. Only way to be free is to let the feelings go :)

Certainly heartfelt. Could use improvement on grammar, unless slang was intentional. I hope you are now free!

It was intentional, I like to write in the affect of understanding for all. Thank you for the read! Yes very free now :)

Quite an insight into the mindset of an abused person. I like how it points out that the abused seems to believe it is their own fault their abuser hurts them and how much they believe their imperfection is anti-reflection of the perceived perfection of the abuser. Well written.
