The Love That Remains

The Love That Remains

The poet writes words into ashes
As if the witnesses to thoughts and feelings
Float away as dandelions on a breeze
Seldom read or remembered
Only through deeds and actions
Does Love remain on the memory.
My passion is to pursue
Whole transformation
To become the living, breathing
And walking example of
The very thing I desire and wish for.

Every waking moment is practice,
Favor and opportunity to be
An grateful observer of beauty,
Blemishes and benignity
A listener and responder
Where a lending hand
Works wonders,
Heals wounds
And reveals a heart who cares
Love, truth and acceptance
Find their way to those in need.

As a star, the sun finds its way
Across time and space
Even on my horizon
The light of God ripples
Across the waters of my soul
Touching and affecting
Every shore of my existence
Washing away the separation
Connecting me to the eternal life
Who resonates and reveals
The aperture of love and acceptance.
