Stop the clock

Stop the clock
I need time to create

A mind is a terrible thing to waste
Imagine a mind that’s unable to communicate

A mind that’s empty
Of thoughts and feelings
No chance of healing

I’ve decided to accept my fate
Meanwhile I’ll continue to create
I’ll continue to write as my mind dictates

My mind’s thoughts will not go to waste
As long as I can rhyme I ask for time to wait
Give me more time to create

My mind screams wait!
My thoughts hesitate.
I have to think about what I want to say
My lips are ready but my mind is delayed
I want to say is what I want to say!

Slow down the hands of time!
Latin X has a whole book of rhymes
I just need a little bit more time.
I need to heal my mind.

A heartfelt and poignant plea to slow down the passage of time, as the speaker yearns for more moments to create, reflect, and heal, with a sense of urgency and vulnerability, revealing the pressure to produce art while navigating personal struggles.
