Taking a Chance

Some of the most beautiful people are broken,
Split heart keeps words from being spoken,
Because of people, their feelings are on yield,
And around their heart they put up a shield,
Pushing away the ones that really do care,
And all you can hear is how life is not fair,
But not everyone is the exact same,
There's strong love out there that ain't a game,
Could be with the next one that comes along,
But you'll treat them like they did the wrong,
Not giving them a chance for a fair fight,
To make your life change, making you feel right,
Because all you think about is your past,
And how broken love didn't even last,
Sometimes you got to take a chance,
Grab you someone's hand and dance,
Beneath the stars your heart shall beat,
Love is real and will knock you off your feet.
