Welcome Home Kid!

Free verse
The magenta flower that grows
Outside my house
Year after year
Is finally back.
Purple like a bruise
It is hard to miss
It stands taller than the rest.
The long green stem with a little leaf attached
 Is as green as a lime.
After a long day at school,
A long bus ride,
I walk down the street
And onto my lawn.
I see that flower
And I know I am home.
