Love

Love does not come detached. separate
It lives among the fray.
It doesn't always carry flowers,
or invite us clearly in.
It lives in light and shadow
it swims beneath the skin.
It lived in the flower beds,
and among the battling weeds.
it shines in goodness and charity
and between hate, and lust and greed
It lives in the silent gaps,
 between action ,thoughts, and words.
Love the very stuff of life,
 the glue that binds this world.
