THE REBEL

The History teacher had successfully transformed,
Class x th into a bloody battle ground,
Their eyebrows sharper than the oppressor's knife,
Every student was fighting for a toppers life,
Exams fast approaching what will be my fate?
To hell with the massacre just mug up the date.
From within them a rebel rose,
Challenging the oppressor with a gentle snore,
Immune to the hatred that the past had sown ,
He dreamt of making love to damsels unknown,
Of a garden of roses and a stream nearby,
Of chirpy birds greeting every passerby,
Of music that only nature can compose,
Ridding the soul from the burden of remorse,
His empire of dreams was suddenly destroyed,
By the fuming teacher greatly annoyed ,
A whack on the butt was all that it took ,
For the rebel to descend from his dreams to his book,
His pride had been broken ,
But his soul had awoken ,
To the wisdom that in destruction ,
Lie the seeds of a greater creation ,
This is the truth of every revolution.
