Righteously Traits
Bless the man who reveres the Lord,
Delights greatly in His commands;
Shows that God is loved and adored,
Praising Him for what He demands.
For his offspring will be mighty,
A generation God will bless;
And praising and praying nightly,
Wrongdoings they will confess.
Wealth and riches are in their house,
The righteous endure forever;
Marrying a righteous spouse,
With a love that will not sever.
The dawning light in the darkness,
He is merciful and gracious;
For the upright hides no starkness,
At all times remains righteous.
Because it is well with the man,
Who deals generously and lends;
Conducting affairs as to plan,
With discretion as he attends.
The righteous will never be moved,
Shall be forever remembered;
Because his thoughts have been behooved,
As spiritually acquired.
He is not afraid of bad news,
Because of trusting of the Lord;
For his heart sees biblical views,
While fake news will be ignored.
His heart is steady, not afraid,
Until triumph over his foes;
Being strengthened by the Lord’s aid,
Desire that God only knows.
For he has given to the poor,
Freely dispersing of his wealth;
As he endures forever more,
That strengthens his spiritual health.
The evil man will have much grief,
Gnashes his teeth and melts away;
He perishes with no belief,
Since the wicked has gone astray.
