The Storm Within

A broken world,
A heart snapped in two,
It will forever be my thing,
Always longing for you.

Even though my soul is tarnished with tears,
I know I will still feel the same,
As long as you're out there somewhere,
I will always long for you.

My spirit desires love,
My heart needs care,
But you come and go like ocean waves,
Turning my mind into a raging storm
Because I want you,
But can't have you.

My emotions run deeper than the sea,
The storm within my mind
Consumes me whole,
But even if you may never be mine,
I will find a way to keep you in my soul.
