Wanting Back

What is it wished to miss,
A wanting back of it.
Had it been a relationship?
That began as a friendship?
Close and candid.
But thought too basic.
And not impressive enough,
To appease the pretentiousness...
Of those who addressed,
Possessions to charade.
With a homemade imitation,
To imagine themselves...
Among the elite and untouchables?

What reality,
Has your blinded mind been living in?

And after all that time to waste,
Faking a having of status.
You are now confessing a wanting back,
That simple and basic life once to have.
But gone to know and be shown,
Public disrespect.
With the best of your disapproving tactics.
Not to mention,
A lack of appreciation to others expressed.

Yet now...
You are wanting back the one you knew,
Who loved you for who you were.
But these days has found someone else.
Also with a kept mindset to recognize...
Life to live for the blessing it is to get,
Is a joy to appreciate...
Being aware and conscious of it!

What brick wall,
Did you hit your head against?
That opened up a hole to convince you,
Common sense to use...
Is a priceless tool not to lose.
Or give away to prove one a fool!
