Puddles of Love

Jonathan A. Lacey 1987 (Texas)

Tonight as I lay down I'm surrounded by puddles of my own tears,
Because what is running through my head is one of my deepest fears,
That there will be another man that will come along and take my place,
All because I'm not there to tell you I love you every day to your beautiful face,
Because I left you with empty arms, all because of my self-centered greed,
Therefore, I'm missing out on giving you all the true love that you need,
But what you should know is you have everything that can satisfy my heart,
So know that I will forever love you till death do us part,
Because for you, I'm down to ride or die no matter what's the cost,
And my love for you will never just run away or ever be lost,
So promise me you will always be mine to have and to hold,
Because I want a life together, one with amazing stories to be told,
And I speak the truth because the truth should always be known,
You, my beautiful sexy queen, are the one I want to call my own,
So do you now understand what my tears are all about,
It's because of you my love, who I can not live without.
