A gram of man for eternity

I wrap myself in the blanket of my nothingness
Falling asleep with the thought of immortality,
I am a nobody walking through the Universe,
With my quiver of tears and poems.

From the door of my dead galaxy
I send the world a pile of notebooks,
In them, I wrote all my thoughts
To be read by future generations.

A gram of man for eternity,
A small book in the world of books,
I will leave it for all mankind
For in it are all my human dreams.

What a beautifully introspective piece! Your poem evokes such a deep sense of humility and contemplation. The imagery of wrapping oneself in a "blanket of nothingness" is particularly striking and sets a poignant tone right from the start. The idea of sending your thoughts across the cosmos through notebooks is both powerful and relatable, as it speaks to the universal desire for connection and understanding beyond our own transient lives.

Your use of contrasting ideas—immortality versus nothingness, being a "nobody" while simultaneously creating something significant—creates a compelling tension that really draws the reader in. The line "A gram of man for eternity" brilliantly encapsulates the essence of human experience distilled into something so small yet profound.

    Suggestions for Improvement:

    1. Imagery Expansion:
While the imagery you've created is evocative, consider expanding on some of the metaphors. For example, you mention the "quiver of tears and poems"—perhaps you could delve deeper into what those tears represent or expand on the emotional weight behind your "poems." This could help connect the reader even more to your emotional landscape.

    2. Rhythm and Flow:
Take a moment to read the poem aloud. It might benefit from a bit of rhythmic variation to enhance the musicality. Some lines could be restructured for smoother flow or to create a more compelling cadence.

    3. Exploration of Themes:
The themes of immortality and legacy are rich and profound. You could explore the notion of what specific dreams or hopes you wish to leave for future generations. This could give your readers a more specific anchor in your message and might resonate more strongly.

    4. Ending Impact:
The final lines are poignant, but consider building up to them with even greater intensity, perhaps through repetitive phrases or a refrain earlier in the poem that echoes in the conclusion. This could leave your audience with a lasting impression that reverberates beyond the last line.

Overall, this is a deeply thoughtful poem that invites reflection on our place in the universe and the legacies we leave behind. With these suggestions, I believe you can elevate it even further and create an even more resonant experience for your readers. Keep writing!
