Swarup Bhattacharya

Shadow.

You follow my steps on day
and imitate my movements.
But at night I don't get your traces.

Early morning I find you on my west.
At noon when the sun is at zenith
then I find you on my south.

In the evening when the sun is set
I turn and find you
standing on my west.

Shadow you play hide and seek
with me during the day.
But at night you are faded into dark
