Woodpecker.

Woodpecker

When half of the world is
drowsing under a sultry mid-day,
we can hear a monotonous sound,
coming from near by wood land.

But it isn't easy to find its source.
If you intently gaze at every tree top,
only then you will find a speck
moving deliberately its neck.

At first you'll find it crazy
then you'll discover it's busy.
It has long,strong beak,
aptly fitted with its neck.

The ecoing sounds break
the silence of the noon.
Only silence is the observer
of its delibarate labour.
