A LONG WAY

A LONG WAY

Seems we come a long way
The road stretches long behind
Like a Pilgrim in ages past
I bow my head to pray
Lord I seek and I'll find
I'm Yours at the last

The storms battered me
I lost my way it's true
Darkness tries to stake a claim
But You open my eyes to see
Jesus, my Hope is in You
I stand strong in Your Name

Road lies behind, but also ahead
So Lord You meet me here
By faith I seek Your Face
Jesus you raise my soul was dead
And I see my Redeemer clear
As I stand in Your Grace

So far You've brought me
Doesn't matter how far I have to go
I will place my trust in You
I'm the one the Son set free
In You I will stand to Grow
And see this journey through
AMEN

About this poem

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. 7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 37:6-8
