Happiness

Sitting down into
Happiness
As it wraps its arms
Around me.
Feeling the warmth
And incredible joy
Fill my soul.
Inhaling calm,
Enveloped in peace,
While colorful thoughts
Massage my mind.
Feeling a smile
Grow from cheek to cheek,
All while sitting down
Into happiness.

About this poem

I wrote this poem after going through a very difficult period in my life. The relief of being able to move on and have good experiences was captivating. It opened me up to a feeling that completely consumed my entire being. The fact that I could once again experience happiness was quite exhilarating.
