Sanctuary can be a Person?

i wonder how your kith and kins
would say about me
whose flaw is my pasts
if you weren’t there in my mailbox
i would’ve gone being dumb as I was

i confessed, i fawned you
but it’s your fault for seeing
the thin edge of the wedge
as if by magic you took my hand
and brought me to oasis

everything’s coming up with roses for me
since you came home to me
crosswords looks fun now and
crossroads isn’t scary anymore as it was
melancholy has no room at this time

About this poem

A girl whose past was bitter found at last a sanctuary she can rest with. Wondering would’ve been different if she hadn’t met him.
