Poisonous Cloud
The air is thick with a poisonous cloud
A deadly mist that hangs like a shroud
Silent and unseen, it creeps and crawls
Enveloping everything, it slowly falls
No warning, no sound, it comes in stealth
A toxic breath that takes away all health
Its tendrils reach far and wide
A deadly blanket, it spreads with pride
The sky once clear, now tainted and dark
The poison spreads, leaving its mark
The birds fall silent, the flowers wilt
The once lush land, now barren and built
No one can escape its deadly grasp
The poison cloud, it takes a mighty class
From the tallest trees to the smallest creatures
All fall victim to its deadly features
The rivers run dry, the earth turns brown
The poison cloud, it wears the crown
Of destruction and death, it reigns supreme
A silent killer, a deadly scheme
No antidote can cure its deadly sting
For it's a creation of man, a terrible thing
A product of greed, of power and wealth
A poisonous cloud, a creation of self
But even in the midst of this deadly plague
There's a glimmer of hope, a single ray
For Mother Nature, she always finds a way
To heal and cleanse, to restore and pray
And so, the dark cloud begins to fade
As the poison slowly starts to degrade
The sun shines through, the birds start to sing
As life returns, to everything
But the memory remains, a warning to all
Of the poison cloud, its deadly call
For if we don't change our ways, our fate is sealed
And the Earth, it will forever yield.
